The chairman of the board was indicted I believe.
Haven't seen much in they way of the RED Cross.
You have any documentation or can you site news articles
to back up your statement?
Not defending any charities here because I do believe there
is a lot of waste with many of them.
Just like to see people present true facts.
Like this one for instance:
In eBay's Q4 2005 filing with the SEC in the "PayPal Unaudited Supplemental Operating Data" section of the report. they stated PayPal has 96.2 million registered users but only 28.2 million active accounts....meaning there were 68 million INACTIVE users.

Sundance: Sorry, but I believe that you are a little confused here. eBay and Paypal are the ones that Bite the Hands that Feed Them. Justifiable Grievances get Deleted on eBay's Boards, along with the Victims that have been Abused. Heaping one insult upon another. Sellers come here with the freedom of knowing, that someone will listen,and actually care about what these companies have done to them.

You either don't know any better, because you lack the education as regards these companies, or you are under the Spell of eBay's Propaganda Machine, or you were sent here to persuade others into changing course and running back to Momma eBay.
Actually if you go after the problem tough enough on eBay's Boards, and that Truth that You Bring Forth, is determined to be a Threat to Their Company, they'll entrap you into engaging in an argument, using Liveworld Posters (Paid for by eBay) to Finish You Off. Using Pink Slaps and then the Almighty Verdict, Sanctioning and Banishment. Job completed, and the Seller and Their Justifiable Grievance has been Deep Sixed, and with it, goes the TRUTH!
Rebellion is a Good Thing, when it works to set the record straight. It has nothing to do with a sellers mother or father, (God, where on earth did you come up with that idea?)

The Real Tragedy, is that More Suckers get Lured into using eBay and Paypal every day. Of course the GOOD NEWS is, that more people are becoming aware, that the only safe way to play or build a serious business, is to find an alternate way of selling and accepting payment for your wares on the Net. And to Stay Clear of Both eBay and Paypal!!!
This is exactly why, there are More Inactive Users than Less Active Users of Both eBay and Payfraud, than ever before!!!
Many Sellers have lost entire life savings, others have lost their entire business. There are Millions of Dollars caught up in the eBay/Paypal Web of Deceit, Never to be Released!!! Lives Ruined and Futures Wiped Out!
News of Disasters Spreads Swiftly, and eBay and Paypal are Mega Disasters! The word has been getting out for sometime now, and these companies cannot stop the truth, no matter what they do.
Yes, using either eBay or Paypal WILL HURT YOU, more than it Hurts eBay and Paypal, for sure! They Profit off Your Loses!
But why get hurt at all? Yes, you do have a choice, and after you have done the research, you'll discover that by Not Using these companies, you will PROTECT YOUR INTERESTS.
There are Dreams to be Had in Life, on the Net with Your Own Web Site and a True Merchant Account for Payment. I have many friends, who left eBay and did just that. They are Succeeding, and they are Not using a Third Party, like eBay to do it!!!
Fact is, eBay and Paypal are being Exposed, and the day will come when eBay and Paypal will GO DOWN IN HISTORY, Guilty as Charged, of Perpetrating the LARGEST FRAUD ever, on the Consumer!!!

As a result of the LAST class action lawsuit settlement, paypal is required to provide specific documentation to you and every other account holder whose funds are being held in limbo indefinitely. You'd never know it, though, because paypal doesn't tell you how to file a complaint alleging that paypal is in violation of the Electronic Funds Transfer Act, and that it will respond only if your complaint is filed using one specific complaint form hidden in the UA.

Click on the link in #2 to put paypal on formal notice of its error in freezing your account funds. Under EFTA, there are specific steps paypal must follow to resolve your dispute, or be subject to triple damages should you decide to take them to court. (Note that the UA says paypal may take 10 days to respond. That in itself is twice as long as it agreed to in court - oops.)
Use the link to file a complaint that paypal has made an unauthorized electronic funds transfer by withholding your funds as outlined in clause F(iii). Request a copy of all documentation paypal used in determining to freeze your account. EFTA requires paypal to investigate your claim within a short time period, provide a "meaningful" response, and actually send you any paperwork it has to support its action, at your request. Be sure to save copies of everything you receive from paypal in response to your complaint, in case you have no recourse but to sue them for triple damages as allowed under the Act.

<A Nonnymouse>, Paypal limited access to my account. I could not get my money out. I had to provide all kind of documents and proof. They assume that I am guilty of fraud until proven otherwise!!! After I get my money out: NO MORE Paypal!!! If they suspected of any illegal activity, they should not allow the transfer of fund into my account. But they did. And then they freeze my account. Isn't that a fraud???

I've only just found this site by surfing the web. I'm a PayPal-registered eBay UK customer, and I am not at all happy that the safeguards for customers that apply when the banks handle my credit card payment transactions are opted out from by PayPal. If PayPal choose to rip me off by debiting my card up to my maximum permitted debit balance it seems they are legally at liberty to do so in the UK. Maybe I should get a new credit card with a limit of $50, add this as an extra card on my PayPal account and delete my existing one ?
I often buy books through Abebooks using my credit card and I've had no problems or heard any horror stories about them. I've no reason to think they'd rip me off the way PayPal seems to think it's OK to do - or has anyone had problems there too?
I don't know if this discussion group acts as a Spam generator by sending out postings by email to signed-up members, but I've had exactly that problem with several other groups that operate that way. It encourages illiterate and evil bigmouths with a total lack of consideration for others to generate and post foul-mouthed and abusive submissions which merely evidence that they have mental rabies. I find this extremely offensive and totally unnecessary. If, as has been suggested by others, it is being deliberately done by or on behalf of PayPal, its agents or its sycophants, such postings should be actively filtered out BEFORE they get into the public domain. Sensible discussion yes. Abuse NO!!!
A first-time and utterly appalled visitor to this site.
