PeeOnPaypal,
It is really easy for most people to change their IP address on any computer if using a modem. Simply unplug it, leave alone for 10 minutes, plug back in, reboot computer, and you have a new ip address.

I have waged an online war with paypal. Get this, I open accounts everyday knowing that they will be instantly frozen. Once this happens, they ask me to upload documentation for this and that. I upload random pictures of horse penis, naked she-males, Gaypal logos, turds, bukake shots, war mangled bodies, puke, and anything else that might make the reader sick to their stomachs. This is just my way of repaying the queers for stealing 200 bucks from me. I will continue my sharades until I grow weary or become bored with it. Just thought I would share this bit of info. to the community for their own gratification...lol

if one want to be safe with paypal here is what is best in regards to giving them your bank info.

Go out to walgreens and get a green dot pre-paid credit card. Activates it then go to the direct deposit section and you will get the bank name and routing numbers and account numbers. Simply make this you bank and when paypal thinks they got you by the balls, gues what, they can not take money off the card when it depleted. And once its verified on your account, they can not remove it. I have one paypal rep try to tell me to take that bank account off becasue it will casue me problems. I did being stupid and now i can put it back on. Funny thing is , they can not seem to prevent this card like they do others. I made a new account back in the day and added another one of these cards with no problem, and laghed when they try to take monewy from it.
I just think about how they are ssitting on their end thingkin "dam another account we cant do anything with. This seller is no good, he has nothing to exploit" Make me out to look liike africa, safe from war with the usa, becasue i have nothing.
And if you want to cause problems with paypal, send a bunch of small payments to the top powersellers on ebay and in the payment, sya thanks for your porn videos. They will close the account within seconds. Literally seconds. I haver done this to other account to test and then after contacting paypal to say someone did it on purpose, they always say they are going to investigate, and then the aup department always contacts me saying we are sorry but doe to your violation we can not remove this limitation. Big time flaw for unsuspecting sellers, or anyone for that matter, so if sone paypal user rips you off, you know know what to do. I tolf paypal today i was going to gather up some peeps and we are going to spend a few hundred dollars sending out 10 cent porn payments to the most prominent seelers on ebay, that way paypal has a big mess on their hands

PaypalSucks,
dayrongarcia,
Unfortunately, YES Paypal does report the debt, it applies to your credit score just like anything else, First paypal will send repeated attempts thru email (to get the money), if u dont reply or the attempt becomes unsuccessful, you will be reported to a collection agency. They will try and recover the debt that way, the collection agency will be the ones reporting the debt against your credit!

This story has been discussed around the web for the last several days regarding PayPal and how they froze people's account who were trying to generate donations for Katrina victims.

You can read a few here:

http://www.wired.com/news/hurricane/0,2904,68788,00.html?tw=rss.TOP
http://forums.dealmac.com/read.php?1,2373958

And some threads here on our forums:

http://www.paypalsucks.com/forums/showthread.php?fid=3&tid=9630&old_block=0

I found this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Something_Awful for more details of the site Something Awful.
(Although that was not the only account affected.)

I wanted to wait a bit before I commented on this...

I realize in today's world the moral fabric that makes up humanity has more rips and tears in it today than perhaps any other time in history, and fraud and tragedy seem to go hand in hand, so I do realize the need for scrutiny at times like this.

However, PayPal's actions in these cases perfectly highlight what has been appearing on this site for the past 5 years. PayPal shoots first, then asks questions later. Instead of looking at how people conduct their affairs (and PayPal account) they simply assume everyone is a criminal.

If a little girl can setup a lemonade stand, or a school children can sell cookies to donate to their charity of choice for the victims of Katrina, why is it net citizens have to acquire permission from PayPal to do the same? And in fact, that permission is denied as a matter of PayPal policy.

It's really sad that it takes the worse natural disaster in US history to expose PayPal the twisted & distorted corporate mental process that goes on there, but now many more people will see PayPal for what it really is: a mean spirited bully.

Also, why is it PayPal aligns itself with a questionable charity, and at the same time refuses to work with the Red Cross or other well respected charities?

I think just about any charity is a scam, including the red cross, I was a Katrina victim in which I was lived where the eye first hit in Louisiana. Red Cross were no where to be found, the go to places, raise money then leave, people never see any of that money, its happened alot before with Tornado victims to. Come in, raise money, then leave, its the churches that actually have helped people in many ways with food and all, red cross dont even do that.

orlandogaffney, orlandogaffney,
I recieved an email form Who else? PayPal, in reference to the same company you mentioned there. Seems there is a massive coverup or something her with Pa pal and rightdowntown.com.... Orland, i want to get you to go to another posting site that is exactly for the purpose of litgation, and anyone else who reads this post. Here is what happened to me.
In October 2007 I joined Pyramid of Gold@aol.com such a hype of a company, some college grads or so that got togther to build a good company, they tell in thier lengthy colorful words that they came online in 1996 when the truth is they came on in 2005, They show they have had millions of people by the look of thier counter on the website.
anyways, I joined and was very careful to follow all instructions,(with threats amongst them that they didnt have time to read emails or you would get kicked out. Oh just trust us kid of thing.... So i recieved my website number which was or still is www.rightdowntown.com/DB31314.html That was a temporary number they issued, anyways they sent me another one to be used as a permanent url to advertise...
And right on the page I signed up on it had the option to pay using paypal.... seems to me, Pay pal should have gone after those people running that company....But no.... I have seen now there are several complaints with this company, ands the inability to get them to shut down the pages we ask them to tqke off.. (removing Paypal buttons) Heck paypal should know we, the ones that joined don't have the ability to remove those...duh!!! So Now I was doing a google search and I found one first person that had listed a complaint.....hmmm come to find out, that guy was in canada, and he and I have the SAME Url as far as the temporary one. Well meanwhile PayPal gets A lot of advertisng by these guys. yet they have continued to let them keep on building websites for people who have no control over it. I think honestly, that there is enough bickering and complaining, about Pay Pal, remember the old days? When Americans fought for thier rights? Today is no different it is time we ban together as Rightful Citizens and protest? Do what ever we need to do to make our voices heard. And i am not speaking about typing on computers. First of all I just looked at orlando's site and it is still running, and payPal has ruined his life in the area of using them for what ever he was making money with. It is picture clear to me, if 10 people have reproted to ebay the same company tha tthey use they dont have means to take paypal info off those pages, and they don't have means to take the pages down....That means Paypal is in my opinion Aiding In Wrong doing by their own hold back of allowing people to sign up on those pages knowing all so well that they have control over thier own servers. Why in the world doesn't PayPal take action on behalf of the many people that did join Dollarz Blaster? I want to Sue Plain words! But it will take numbers of peoople to sue them to show a history of PayPal knowing month;s ago this was going on. I am sugessting if your really tired of Pay pal, and want to take a stand. Then use this forum and others like this to get a petition of complaints organized and hard backing proof and file class action lawsuits for what ever the type of complaint you have. With me....dollars blaster and paypal, so if you have the same identical complaint, hang with me, break it down, if you have a different complaint that others have identical complaint that hang withthem. or i suppose there is some measure of the law where we all could join in the same lawsuit.
As for rightdowntown.com Stay AWAY from them by all means. I want to file suit against them also. For depriving us to remove the logos. somehow i think somewhere in the mix payPal and Rightdowntown.com are in that together.....I just have that feeling .. check out this other site for complaints and litgation and adding companies to thier list. They are set up to take action and even ask that a lawyer may call you. www.ripoffreport.com

tahoegal,
Hey there, I have to tell you I have had a similar awful situation with paypal. PAYPAL IS THE WORST BUSINESS IN THE HISTORY OF BUSINESSES!!! I would rather be associated with Enron than paypal!! I recently sold a few items on eBay. I had an account with payapl and ebay since 2006...I hadn't ever sold anything on eBay until about a month ago. Within the first week of listing somehting on eBay, paypal decides to unverify my bank account for no reason, so I couldnt transfer my funds to my bank account. Then while my bank account is unverified they decide to place a hold on my account because they say they needed to verify that the items I was selling were actually being sent to the buyers. So like they asked I provided them with shipping info which proved they had received there item. So as my account is locked, with $1,200 sitting in it, I couldnt put the money in my bank account and to this day my account is still locked and they will not provide me with any reason as to why my account is locked. They intentionally unverified my bank account first because they knew they were going to lock my account and not allow me to have those funds. The closest to an explanation I have received is they say "I am a risk to there company" ???!!?? I have never done anything fraudulant, but I now can not do anything to get that money back. They say I can either refund my buyers, but for what reason? or I can wait 180 days!!! to get that back. And it took them three weeks of deciding to tell me that from the time my account was locked!! PAYPAL IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER!! An alternative company needs to be found! Because they are banking from stealing people money!

I have had quite the experience with Paypal....a guy bought off of my ebay and paid thru Paypal. He filed a complaint against me on Paypal. I shipped him his $780 item. I am not a scammer - I really sent the item. UPS confirms I sent it - though I did not require a signiture. Paypal has put my account negative $780 because I did not have a signiture confirmation - they have my tracking number!!! I am insured through UPS BUT the guy bought the item AND got his money back thru Paypal!!! Paypal is supporting this FRAUD! I am persueing a full investigation through UPS. Either this guy will deny he recieved it and I get insurance money or he will say he got it and Paypal should refund my account. If Paypal doesn't refund my money I will persue lawsuit. They support illegal actions of their "clients"! Maybe I can get UPS to back me up. HUGE FRAUD!!!

Another point I wanted to make regarding this...

In the email PayPal sent to those whose accounts were frozen they stated that the accounts were limited due to reports of suspicious behavior. This is very important because once they make such a statement, they may be able to suspend the practice modifications agreed to in the class action lawsuit. Effectively nullifying that agreement. But look at these cases: clearly the people who donated didn't report any such suspicious behavior because they were all long time users of the sites doing the fund raising. So it seems PayPal simply makes this claim on ALL CASES as a matter of procedure.

What it is is its all done by computer, thats my theory, most of everything is done by computer and none of it has any human involvement, thats the way it seems.

Pay Pal is not for the little guy. Below is the actual corrispodance with PayPal.

Dear Orlando Gaffney,

The PayPal User Agreement states that PayPal, at its sole discretion,
reserves the right to limit an account for any violation of the User
Agreement, including the Acceptable Use Policy. Under the Acceptable Use
Policy, PayPal may not be used to send or receive payments that support
pyramid or ponzi schemes, matrix programs, other "get rich quick" schemes,
or certain multi-level marketing programs.

We are hereby notifying you that, after a recent review of your account
activity, it has been determined that you are in violation of PayPal's
Acceptable Use Policy regarding your sales via
http://www.rightdowntown.com/DB44775.html. Therefore, your account has been
permanently limited.

If you have a remaining balance, you may withdraw the funds to your bank
account. Information on how to withdraw funds from your PayPal Account can
be found at our Help Center.

You will need to remove all references to PayPal from your website(s)
and/or auction(s). This includes not only removing PayPal as a payment
option, but also the PayPal logo and/or shopping cart. We thank you in
advance for your cooperation. If you have any questions, please contact
the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy Department at aup@paypal.com.

Sincerely,
PayPal Acceptable Use Policy Department

Dear PayPal
I received a account limitation notice for my PayPal account due to the web site <http://www.rightdowntown.com/DB44775.html>> which should have been inactive since September.
I wish to have the limitation removed from my account.
I had canceled my account to that web site about three month ago just as I have canceled <http://www.6x6million.net/orlando.html>> and a few other web sites because of your policy and I was surprised that my PayPal account became limited now almost three month later. I have cancel my account under extension "/DB44775.html" by request but I have absolutely no control over the web sit itself "www.rightdowntown.com <http://www.rightdowntown.com> " or its contents. I should have not have had any payment transaction from these past web site that I no longer subscribed to. I have no control over the web site such that I can remove the PayPal banners for I don't own the web sites. Today I went back to the web site in question (<http://www.rightdowntown.com/DB44775.html>) to double check that my account is inactive and I can't even log on and re send them email to verify that the account is closed. There should have not been any transactions with these web sites since September.
When I joined the <http://www.rightdowntown.com/DB44775.html> web site I thought that it was a legitimate business at first for PayPal because they said that they are not any "get rich quick" are "pyramid" and that they have the PayPal logo and was doing business with PayPal, I thought it was OK.
I currently only have 2 active web sites that I own that does business with PayPal and that is <http://www.placeadsyourself.com> which I own and control 100% of its contents and <http://www.eastsideaccess.com>, a drop ship company which I have some partial control but not over the PayPal logo and its business practice.
I notice that <http://www.rightdowntown.com> is still using your PayPal logo to recruit people and do business. Why not go after these sites that mislead and recruit people like us. This way you can stop the entire downline from developing by just going after web masters and at the same time you are protecting us, the little guy who are willing to do business with PayPal in good faith.
I would like to have my limitation removed so that I can continue doing business with what should be my only two web site doing business with PayPal. You can visit these web site below to see if they comply to your policies too. If they don't comply please let me know what else I must do to have my limitation remove as soon as possible:
<http://www.Placeadsyourself.com>
<http://www.eastsideaccess.com>
Thank You
Orlando Gaffney

Dear Orlando Gaffney,

We regret to inform you that we cannot overturn the limitation on your
account. Due to the violation of PayPals Acceptable Use Policy regarding
Multi-level Marketing, Pyramid and Matrix Programs, your account has been
permanently limited. Please remove all references to PayPal from your
website(s) and/or auction(s). This includes not only removing PayPal as a
payment option, but also the PayPal logo and/or shopping cart.

If you have any questions, please contact the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy
Department at aup@paypal.com.
