You know, I was standing in line at a grocery store this afternoon. Two different customers struck up a conversation with me. The one was going to do a credit on her grocery bill, and said, "I will never do a debit!" I asked her why? She then proceeded to tell me about a Paypal Horror Story, involving her sister. Her sister was Screwed out of $600.00, due to a chargeback and never recouped her loses. Her sister DUMPED PAYPAL and NO LONGER SELLS ON EBAY, due to this! She is now terrified to give out any information, even in a grocery store, due to that experience. The other lady in line, spoke up, and had a similar story to tell.

Two Paypal Victims in One line, during a 10 minute conversation, in a remote part of the country. Now, how many horror stories are there, throughout the US, involving Paypal? If we had some statistics, I believe it would BLOW YOUR MIND!

When thousands of consumers are being detrimentally effected by a system, and nothing is being done to stop it, we ALL BETTER START ASKING SOME VERY SERIOUS QUESTIONS?

With eBay/Paypal, it's a slow and agonizing ritual. They wrangle the bait (lure of success) under your nose, Keep you Listing when Your Going Broke from Fee's, and then steal all your money through your frozen account, through payfraud.

Then when you come to eBay's Boards wanting answers, the Liveworld Moderation Team (Paid for by eBay) incites you into breaking board policy, by P$$Sing You Off, so that you retaliate and return in kind. Then, since you've Caught On to the RACKET (And this is what those companies are, a Racket) and eBay and Paypal have gotten everything that they can get out of you, they kick you out the eBay Door, and into Cyber Space. While you sit there scratching your head, wondering how you could have been taken in by these thieves!!!

It doesn't stop there, once eBay and Paypal have concluded their (Clearing Throat) "business relationship", (If you want to call it that) with you, they go after FRESH MEAT! Newbies, the Innocents. The ones that eBay tells you over and over again, that they are going to replace you with, if you don't just Lay Down, Take Their Crap, and Accept what they've been doing to you.

And when sellers do comply, Paypal will try to come up with anything to not allow the funds to be unfrozen!

My story: I have $215 frozen due to an "Unauthorized" Chargeback. I have followed all instructions in emails and phone calls I have been given including: Going to website to dispute the chargeback with my tracking id from UPS (which did not require signature b/c was under $250). I also placed a phone call to have the following info added: Buyer double paid me (not two separate payments for one item but actually paid me the same amount twice) I refunded one of the transactions. I have the refund receipt still. Just wanted them to know in case they quickly went through the information.

Okay, then I place several phone calls inquiring about seller protection. I was asked if I disputed the chargeback..I said yes. The rep then told me I had to do nothing in order for seller protection to kick in...that my funds will be unfrozen within 72 hours if it was found that I indeed meet the seller protection guidelines (I do).

I emailed them everyday asking where my money was and was given the runaround..give them 5 business days, lalala...

Then, this morning I receive an email stating I was not eligible for Seller Protection because: "You were not covered under our Seller Protection Policy as you failed to
provide us with signed proof of delivery." Huh? Okay..it says in the fine print that that is only needed for anything over $250, right?

So I call them up...and get this..they're like, well, did you send an email to pending_reversal@paypal.com? I said "No, I was told I needed to do nothing but dispute the chargeback online. They said you should have received an email stating you needed to send an email also to this address with your tracking number. I received no such email! I asked to speak with a manager at the point. I spoke with Perrie ext 6085.

She admitted I had been :

1. Lied to by a paypal employee regarding what I needed to do for seller protection policy
2. Not been provided the correct information for my chargeback case for seller protection policy online.

So, even if you do comply with SPP, they will do everything in their power, even if it means lying and withholding information, to not comply themselves!
