cocteau8,

You should follow our Golden Rules For Sellers via our website at

ppterminator.freehostia.com.

There's also information on what to do in these types of cases. See our sellers forum.

PaypalSucks,
I'm one of the fairly naive, previously happy to use Paypal people until a couple of weeks ago. Sold tickets for a gig through Paypal which the buyer lost - sorry, but not my problem! I had positive feedback confirming speedy receipt and an email confirming receipt and subsequent loss. 3 weeks ago and chargeback time! Paypal gave me 10 days to respond, I responded in 1 but received an email, sent before my response, advising that there was nothing they could do and that they were closing the case. They are doing nothing with my proof of receipt, are not sending this on to the card company concerned, and generally, despite their protestations of powerlessness and faux expressions of sympathy, seem disinterested. Their last email suggested I ask the buyer for the money back or for the 'return of the merchandise'! Not much use when the merchandise was tickets that have been lost, and I somehow doubt that a buyer will respond to a polite request for my money back! I'm so angry!

Who cares if you get a response. Its nothing but PayPal's run around bs your going to get. You do not have to wait 180 days to get your money back. See our sellers arena for more details.

PayPal limited my account and just got an email that they are parting business with me. What that means is they will hold the nearly $1,000 balance for 180 days. Anyways, for those for who are trying to get hold of somebody at PayPal someone from the Office of Executive Escalations was assigned to me after I sent an email to a couple of PayPal's executive officers. Here are the names people can contact so they can get a quicker response (for me, I sent the email on a Saturday I got a response two days later).

Gabriel
Executive Escalations
crme@paypal.com
(402) 952-8902

Scott Thompson
President of PayPal
sthompson@paypal.com

Mary Hentges
Chief Financial Office of PayPal

Did you ever try speaking wit PayPal customer (dis)service employees in attempt to reach the resolution? All people I managed to speak on the phone were like a bunch of $5.50/hr, half brain “monkeys” who could not get any other job! What’s amazing is how the number of people eventually gets to the same conclusion and start calling PayPal “customer (dis)service” employees MONKEYS! Did I say monkeys? Yes. They really are!!! Just look this post below, it has PayPal employee signature all over it! Bunch of crooks have no shame! AVOID PAYPAL – PAYPAL SUCKS!

The fact that PayPal allowed a stolen credit card to be used shows that it's really private limited and that the following are bullshit in its purest form:

24/7 transaction monitoring
Worldwide fraud specialists
Cutting-Edge Fraud Models
PayPal Verification System

I'm too smart to let those frauds do that.

I just wanted to share this with some of you newbies.

It starts when you post your problem on the "company" owned and operated eBay PP boards.

But eventually, you wind up here.

A word of advice to all who have problems.

Try a keyword SEARCH for your situation.

The info is here.

Happy PPing

One thing I noticed was that for a first time Ebay customer, with a prize like a Mickey Mantle rookie card or something similar, being confronted with the EULA for PayPal comes at a very tense moment, and you are actively bidding or want to place a bid for an auction that is ending in like 5 minutes, you have this "one click sign up NOW what are you waiting for are you stupid do it NOW' extra slick flashing ad, then you get the user agreement screen, it says please read this very carefully before signing, it is like 5 fruckin' pages of small print, the first paragraph should be a fair warning, the part about PayPal reserves the right to moderate any disputes and nobody else has rights, and that you have to sign on to 5 pages of small print, and you want that damn baseball card and the time is ticking down to put in your bid, so you scroll to the bottom as fast as you can but even that takes nearly 30 seconds....
sign away your bank account and your business.

So they are talking out of both sides of their collective mouth. The Ebay side is saying hurry up dummy don't miss this opportunity don't bother reading the fine print, just do it Man!

and in the fine print PayPal is telling you to read everything in their 5 pages of small print before signing on.

Which do you think might be the most sincere expression of their company policy?

I notice the trolls like to gloat that "you didn't read EVERY FRUCKIN" word of the user agreement, so that means we get to rip you off and still tell ourselves it's moral and legal hahahahahahaha!"

Openyoureyes,

Nice signature.
Tell me where in the user agreement it states that if you are in any way related to a person with a limited account, Paypal will also limit your account.

-----
http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/ua/policy_closing-outside
# Receipt of potentially fraudulent funds;
# The account has been used in or to facilitate fraudulent activity;

-----
That's not what he asked.

-----
I'm confused, really, as to how being connected with someone committing fraud would *not* immediately raise the possibility that you might be connected with said fraud.

Yeah... well, I don't think most businesses would ban my grandmother if I was the one with the problem and she lives 2,000 miles away from me.

Seems to me that is not in the SPP, though.

Thie Page is doctored and Is not a genuine Paypal page

Read the user agreement before selling, FOLLOW ALL DIRECTION and it is impossible to NOT be covered for protection.

I think the key is first of all learning to read

perhaps you should learn proper grammar, or maybe paypal doesn't require that.
