PaypalSucks, Paypal sucks, they're so unfair to sellers. They have full access to your personal funds at anytime and they choose what to do with them. When a dispute is submitted from a buyer, they'll take unautherized funds from your account and refund buyer without first, getting to the bottom line. I've had so many problems with paypal, therefor I will never use them again. PAYPAL SUCKS! and they're scams. Extremely bad customer service

Well I have been using ebay for about 2 yearss and paypal for about 2 months. Customer brought an item off me, paid through paypal, received it and signed for delivery. Has been arguing with me for several weeks saying it's not her signature, even though it was her address. Saying item was never receved. Paypay have taken back the $300 off me and those funds are now pending the outcome of this.
I am faxing them proof of postage and proof of delivery.
Hoping she doesnt' get my money back as she clearly has the item !

ref31, When a chargeback happens, it doesn't limit the seller's account. It simply places a hold on the funds involved (and ONLY those funds) until the matter is sorted out. If a chargeback is granted, the funds are reversed. The sellers account is still open and fully able to send and receive funds as normal.
That is absolute BS. When I got a $14.75 chargeback on my account they locked up $198.32. Luckily when I sent the tracking info with proof of delivery. It was immediatly unlocked. (3 days total.)

They didn't fight for me... i sold a satellite receiver on eBay and 1 year later, maybe more, and yes you heard me right.. OVER A YEAR LATER, she did a chargeback and now i was left owing paypal $130... Paypals response was along the lines of "we did all we could, but the credit card companys fight hard and don't take no for an answer" some bs like that, but long story short she said i'm ****ed, then asked me to put money into the account... HAHAAHAHAAH YA RIGHT, so I just changed my account number and said to hell with you guys. Then i got some papers saying i have to pay within 30 days, i got about 3 of these LOLZ, i just throw them in the garbage... funny thing is that i wasn't 18 at the time of signup, making my paypal transactions void and such since i couldn't have possible entered a legally binding contract as a minor. Anyways, I did make sure of this with a lawyer and I'm in the clear, so I just have a good laugh whenever i got a new notice telling my I had to pay :), **** you paypal, **** you in your stupid ass.
Also about your "declined chargeback", why would paypal have a choice? You phone up your credit card company, tell them you never got the good's or w/e the reason is, it will cost like $15, and you will get your money back. Paypal can't do anything, sure as hell didn't to the **** that STOLE my satellite receiver... because that's what it is, THEFT!!! Bastards...
P.S. if you guys don't have word filters, just edit the swears out.

PaypalSucks, ya right i have been going throug a dispute for a harley softail frame i bought i got the frame but it was not even close to what i was supposed to get so pay pal did there so caled investigation told me to send the frame back and they may return my money but the return address was a po box you cant send an item that size to a po box and that means no tracking # i sent about 10 emails and told paypal this and called 4 or 5 times to get a proper addres since the guy i bought it from would not respond so my claim was timed out and i got nothing now they say they are going to reveiw it i am going to close my bank acount that they have registered and call visa and see if i can get my money back .i figure if my bank acount does not exist any more they cant freeze it any advise

DeepSouth, I was a victim of a fraudulent seller. I filed claim wrong--thinking I was on Ebay--and said "not as described".
BIG MISTAKE. ALWAYS PUT "NEVER RECEIVED IN THE FIRST PLACE."
IT'S SIMPLE. I DON'T HAVE PRODUCT (EVEN CRAPPY PRODUCT) AND I DON'T HAVE MONEY. PAYPAL DOESN'T CARE IF SELLER IS A FRAUD. LOOK AT DAYD11. I'M NOT ONLY ONE. PAYPAL SAYS YOU HAVE ONE SHOT AT CLAIM...AND NO DIALOGUE. AND EVEN THOUGH I MADE MISTAKE (TRUSTING ADVERTISING) I'M WRONG AGAIN FOR TRUSTING PAYPAL'S ADVERTISING AND BUYERS' PROTECTION.

Hallo, i m italian and i m scammed from paypal for a chargeback! I sold my item and AFTER 3 MONTHS the buyer done a chargeback!!! Paypal refund her after 15 days and i never back mt item!!!!! Bastards!!! I lost many money!!!

Im new to paypal and I can't even imagine that paypal could do that.
so, what to now? on ebay all ppl uses only paypal or cheque and so on, onle few ppl accept moneybookers.com (its more populated for europe ppl), what else? escrow, bidpay? I think it's sux.
and it seems all ok, but admins use a paypals fraud for his own systems population. I think its not correctly acordint to the users. its like: u see, paypal is bad, so use our system and all be ok. but its a question: do it really all be ok? paypal is saying that all be ok too.
ie I'll use http://www.995merchantaccounts.com/ but what to do with it on ebay? nobody use it, nobody accept it, what's then? where to buy used items? huh?

<Nezura>, You can sue Paypal, they will take you seriously then. Paypal uses ANY excuse to freeze accts and access money. No matter what their emails or employees say to you on the phone, the bottom line is it will end with them trying to keep your funds. The more people take legal action against them, the less profitable it will be for them. Read thru the horror stories here and you will begin to see a disturbing pattern!

The whole "protect me from fraud" BS from PP and ebay is just that.
It's all just marketing for them SMOKE AND MIRRORS and they KNOW they are losing market share and have been for the last couple of years.
Most people I talked to don't even buy on ebay anymore because of the fact that ebay has become SCAM CENTRAL. ebay knows it and so do savvy buyers and sellers.
People you got to wise up.
the only true "protection" for any of us out their is common sense.
A couple questions Nezura:
Are you in contact with the buyer?
Does the buyer know PayPal is holding his funds?
