What's wrong with this damn board?? I've posted 2x and it's not showing. Anyways... no. I haven't heard anything and I don't want to hear anything. I'm past that stage. I in no ways want back. My concentrations at the moment revolve around trying to pay for all the product I have that's taking up space while the suppliers are calling and I ignore the phones. I've spent my recent time in research and now I'm confused. I've found so many violations on PayPal- so particular that they disturb me more now than when I started. Nothing I've read on the 1000+ postings. I know I can't be the only one that caught this stuff??

My account is frozen for 180 days after selling a playstation 3. No reason given, didn't have any claims made against me, was assured over the phone that they'd verify the package was sent and remove the limitation on my account after doing so. Instead I got locked for 180 days and they now have about 570 bucks in there. Might I add, they reversed the transaction to transfer this money to my bank account as well. Funny they called me and stated they'd be doing this right after I initiated the transfer.

Got me today for 3,500. Want way too much personal info for me to send. Where someone has gas is our own business, not theirs! This was a business selling over 180,000 a year. Guess they don't need money huh? What can I do?

Just fallen victim to PayPal.

£300 or $700ish

Have done frequent / larger amounts with PP, been a member for almost 4 years and verified home address, phone number, bank details, etc.

Now they want a faxed:

Passport (LOL)
Driving licence in full (LOL)
Bills
National Identity cards (don't really exist in UK)

How pathetic ~ it is obvious they will keep the money as these details I have already provided as I am a verified member, now they want even more? How can anyone in the right mind hand over such information and even if you do they will still take the money or hold it for 180 days (as every case I have read has recieved).

So yeah, time to look for a new merchant. I hope PP and their corrupt employees get scammed so badly :)

PaypalSucks, Hello, everyone...I am not yet a merchant through PayPal and I am so glad! Sellers are not the only one's who are upset with PayPal...the other day, I tried to pay a merchant with my PayPal account and was refused because they said that I had reached my limit! Who knows about a BUYING LIMIT? Anyway...no notice, no warning, just that I had reached Ebay's limit for buying online ($2,000) and needed to give them my credit card info to verify me before they would allow the transaction to go through! Can you imagine....no warning! So now, the merchant must wait for payment until PayPal has more info on me! I DON'T THINK SO. I registered my credit card with them the beginning of the year...can you guess what happened? Someone used my credit card number, in person, mind you , not over the phone or the internet, but charged my credit card for a gas purchase in New York....I live in Los Angeles! This only happened after I registered my credit card with PayPal...I cancelled that credit card (my credit card company recommended it), and vowed to never allow PayPal to have it again. Any suggestions for online payment processing for consumers?

Maybe someone could direct us with the vast pool of knowledge out there. I am trying to see if there are any avenues I have not tried. We purchased an item on eBay, paid through PayPal and purchased their Money Back Guarantee. The items were supposed to be shipped separately by the seller since all items were over 100 lbs in total. When we got the item, only one of four got to us and it wasn't even in a box. Fed Ex dropped it on our porch with a Fed Ex tag taped to it. Contacted FedEx and they couldn't do too much. Contacted PayPal since we bought the Guarantee and they told us that since the item weighed over 70 lbs. it voided their guarantee. I explained that the items were to be shipped separately and that we wanted to file a claim. They took the information, put a hold on the sellers account (which I do not feel was the right thing to do) held me up for over three months and then decided that they couldn't refund us. They said that I should have scrutinized the agreement prior to using their service. I explained to them that they should have a better way to police this and not offer a Guarantee that they can not uphold. I addressed the fact that taking our money for a service they couldn't provide is FRAUD. The offered me the $35 back for the cost of the Guarantee. That was like a slap in the face. I am still out the $700 for the items I never got.

daisho73, i just did the same as you, i have filed formal complaints with those AGs and the BBB, in the case of the AGs i sent my complaints through postal service because i had to compile a ver very long report, yes not kidding, i sold an average of 10,000 dollars per month so as you can see in my case i have to provide very extensive information and point out to the AGs the situations in which Paypal violated THEIR OWN RULES!! I AM NOT KIDDING! in my complaint report i show each situation one by one identifying contradictions of their rules, then how the create new rules and even violate those new rules. What if paypal competed in an enviroment of plural contest and not a monopoly? I guess a service that bad would not survice contesting against more honest companies.

I wanted to ask you if you have resolved your case? it has been almost 2 weeks since i mailed my complaints to the AGs and BBB, still i don't get my account reinstated, i was told it takes 15-30 days to get a response from both AGs and Paypal and eventually be reinstated, i just want to ask others if they have been successful, if your case is not solved yet then i wish you luck, and i would appreciate if you keep us informed.

- I filed a complaint with my state's and the San Jose, CA BBBs.
- I filed with my state, California and Nebraska AG offices.
- I filed with the FTC.
- I signed the paypalsucks.com petition.
- I'm updating my forum signatures across the net with a link to paypalsucks.com and a paypal alternative.
- Finally, I'm telling everyone I know and meet for all time NOT to use PayPal.

If nothing else, a company so stupid as to not honor the buyer protection policy for a small amount the one and only time to date I submitted for it, to the point of wasting this much employee processing time on my complaints and taking on this much negative PR doesn't deserve any of my business. Dumb business.

as I read the horror stories on paypal, I thought I was the only one going through this madness I agree with everyone they froze my account stood with my money, and my daughters money on her account as well, they asked for fax and alot more of info from us we sent it in they recieved it and still no response.... its getting me so upset that I wish we can all get together and get them out of business for the crooks that they are...
only reason I applied for paypal was because of ebay, I thought it was practical and easy, and I got robbed by them and I cant do a thing about it
I heard that ebay took over paypal but im not sure, I even started reading on the bbb site and they are in business with them as well..
